Dedham Country & Polo Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Dedham, Massachusetts.
The course was founded in 1910. The original 9 hole course was designed by Donald Ross. Seth Raynor was hired in 1925 to redesign the course and expand it from 9 to 18 holes.
The course has open, tree-lined fairways and was built on semi-hilly terrain. Great views from the 1st and 2nd tees. Enough water and hills to frustrate most golfers. Greens are quite large for a course of this age. Water hazards come into play on seven holes. Five holes feature dogleg fairways. The signature hole is #17, a 182-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot over a pond to a well-bunkered green.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,082 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,421 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 501 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 132 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 375 yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 12, a 165 yard par-3.
